Project Description:

bedroom - starting from scratch but will need a long term plan that allows purchasing items over time.

I don't like clutter and appreciate clean lines.

I'm definitely not afraid of color and thought of possibly the idea of a teal velvet headboard.

I'm mostly looking for a bit statement piece that is classy.

Both mom and dad need a place to relax to escape the teenagers when the friends arrive. Maybe a place to lounge besides the actual bed.

We have a wall mounted TV for the space but only if that fits into a plan, we mostly watch TV on personal devices but if it works...

We will likely be in the house another 2-3yrs so all pieces need to work for another location (no built ins).

Using a lighter color in your bedroom will make it feel more airy and bright.

For your main color, we chose to use light gray because it is neutral and seen as elegant and classy. It compliments many colors and works well as part of a color scheme in any room.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
