For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish

We are in need a furniture layout and furniture and decor selections for our patio/pool area on the back side of our house. It is a new house that we moved into a few months ago. I’d say our style is modern organic with lots of natural looking neutrals on the interior as well as many plants to bring the outside in. We are fairly minimalist when it comes to decor and want our pieces have meaning and an overall focus on sustainable sourcing. I’d be glad to send photos of our interior so that you can see our interior style. We like to connect the inside with the outside and make it cohesive.
We do have some furniture in the space now that we have on the patio until we can develop a new design with new pieces. We will want lounge chairs by the pool, a dining set, casual lounging pieces by the fire area, and stools at the grill counter. For the casual pieces swivel rockers are appealing to us.
Quality pieces are important to us, and we are willing to spend more for long lasting, high quality pieces that meet our design aesthetic. The pieces will need to withstand the Minnesota weather conditions that get very cold and very hot and it is also very windy here, so they need to be heavy or able to be attached or weighted down so they don’t blow over or away. This happens regularly with the current furniture that is out there. We also want some shade so would like to incorporate several umbrellas or some big ones since our trees are still very young.
