Transitional Bright Combined Living and Dining Room Project Description
I could use a lot of help with our second floor- its open concept kitchen/living/dining. Ahhhhh. What's your favorite decor style?

THe photos show the old floor stain- we did redo them to be coffee brown, so they are currently darker than the photos. We own zero furniture- so we are starting from scratch.

I do have a 9x12 woven ivory jute rug that I don’t know what to do with. I would love a neutral living room with lots of accent colors. a great piece of art above the fireplace to tie it all together would be the dream.
I definitely need a sideboard with good storage, and I’d love to change out the dining light fixture to a cool hanging pendant style one. You could also replace the one hanging above the stairs to match- whatever you think.
A big farm table for dining also would be great- and a bar cart?
The last one: we have pets, so any pet friendly furniture would be incredible.
Any cool travel related pieces will be my favorite.

Combined Living/Dining:
Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.
For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
