Classy Mid-Century Modern Eclectic Home Project Description
We are looking to furnish and remodel our Airbnb. The house is mid-century modern, and we’d like to decorate in a mid century inspired way, also eclectic and colorful (we love jewel tones). We need it to be durable, but also eye catching and functional. We are open to updating the light fixtures, definitely new paint, tile, etc. The floors are a gray terrazzo, which we won’t change. We do want to change all the carpets to laminate or hardwood. We are open to wallpapers. We like gold/brass and mixed metals for hardware. I really do not like silver/platinum fixtures much. **Please make sure all recommended items are in-stock**
1) kitchen- will be replacing countertops, would like to paint existing cabinets. Need to update fixtures, please recommend. We are leaning toward keeping the oven. I actually like the wooden handles on the cabinets that are existing.
2) dining table- should be able to seat 8-10, chairs without fabric preferred and (ideally no rug).
3) living room- should be able to seat 8-10, would like a couch that is not easily stained.
4) bedroom 1- include a small writing desk and chair. King bed.
5) bedroom 4- two sets of bunk beds, small vanity desk.
6) bedrooms 2 and 3- king size beds.

Would want a mid-century, eclectic feel that would not show stains easily, be durable and eye-catching. Want the living room to seat 8-10, with coffee table, side table, lamps; open to other furniture suggestions. We do like throw pillows, however not a ton (like two or so per couch)

We want to:Replace countertops with a mostly white quartz, open to suggestions as to which one. Please provide what it should look like!
-New kitchen fixtures
-Open to painting cabinets, do not want to put new doors on. Want the exact paint color to use. Open to adding hardware for the cabinets that do not have any
-Need recommendations on tile backsplash, paint colors, furniture if needed
-Need sink and sink hardware recommendations - prefer a very large single basin type sink
-New light fixture recommendations
-the fridge and dishwasher that will be installed are stainless steel
We consider the budget to not include renovation items, only decor/furniture

Want to remove the carpet and replace with a flooring that would go with the terrazzo floors that are in the rest of the house. We are partial to the light, almost whitewashed wood flooring that is trending now, but are open to other things or patterns. We tend to like lighter colors and do not like cherrywood. We do not want a rug in the dining room. -Open to window treatments vs. blinds/shades vs. just leaving it open
-A table that can seat 10-12; that is durable. Would like to avoid fabric on the chairs; or if necessary, something that would not show stains.

Living Room:
Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.
For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
