Project Description

Hello! We just bought a small tudor home in the Hale neighborhood of Denver, CO. I am drawn to interior design that uses lots of color; I don't like the neutral trends. My style is eclectic but I think the home would also lend itself to an English countryside style, lots of layering of fabrics and wallpaper and again, colors! I am interested in design for the primary bedroom (it's small), a teenage girl's bedroom, a living room and a teen hang out area/study room.

Designers I love are Sister Parish, Katie Rosenfeld, even Ralph Lauren home.

Additional comments to designers

There are three walls essentially that encompass the living room. there is a wall with a window, a wall with a fireplace, and a wall with just a radiator. There is obviously a fourth wall but that is where I want to put a credenza. and there is a pathway between the fourth wall and the living room that leads from the front door to the dining room.

There are 54 inches from where the wall ends to radiator and 65 from radiator to the wall of windows.
On the fireplace wall, there are 53 inches from wall to fireplace, then the fireplace part of the wall takes up 60 inches and then another 55 from fireplace to wall where the window is.
On the window wall, there are 37 inches of wall to window, the window is 55 inches, and the are 62 more inches beyond the window to the door opening.

The back wall where the credenza will go is 107 inches long and 17 inches wide.

Living Room:

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to keep your warm white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
